Joayne  is an intercultural coach, facilitator, trainer and instructional designer. She is an entrepreneur dedicated to facilitating transformational learning so that individuals and organizations can be the change they want to see in the world.

Raised in rural North Dakota with a healthy dose of curiosity about the broader world, her professional roots lie in education and have grown to leadership development and intercultural competence. She got her first taste of experiential and intercultural learning via a college semester abroad in Ecuador. She no longer settles for boring classroom learning for anyone! After graduating Tufts University with a BA in International Relations, she joined the Peace Corps serving 2.5 years as a rural teacher in the Russian Far East.

Domestically, she has worked in multiple community non-profits, earned her K-12 teaching degree in Spanish at an inner-city charter school in Washington, DC, and trained community responders in domestic violence protections. Internationally, she supported the startup of an English immersion program in Chile and recently completed 8.5 years as Peace Corps staff. She was senior management in a period of great transition for the Nicaragua post then moved to Washington, DC to support global learning assessment and professional development for overseas staff in the areas of coaching, Volunteer support, training design, facilitation, and learning assessment.

She holds a master’s degree in International Training and Education and is a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC) through Coaches Training Institute (CTI), and an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coach Federation (ICF).
